Hi! So for my final zine project, I went in a completely different direction from where I initially thought I would. Instead of creating a cohesive story, I decided to work off of my one idea: having a cowboy. While making the first page, I realized that my zine looked a lot like a Marlboro poster with how I used images of cowboys smoking cigarettes. This gave me a new perspective of how I wanted my zine to look and that I did not want my entire book to exactly flow the same. Each page is based on a different cigarette box. Each box is given a different classic theme of cigarette smoking that I paired with the box's aesthetic. It begins with Marlboro, then Newport, eventually Camel and keeps going. There is no real deeper meaning to me of how to interpret this zine, but some people, they may categorize the work as celebrating and supporting cigarettes or being against them. I don't care how people see it, I just think it looks cool!
