Animation Project Artist Statement

For this project, I had no ideas going into it that I liked. I knew it would be some sort of a dream but I had no context of how I wanted to execute it. I started working on one animation while my friends and I were watching Game of Thrones one night. I had previously watched Tom and Jerry so my mind started to move in that direction. It was a really simple plan but I thought it would fall under a good difficulty category for my first animation. I began by creating all the scenes I would need in Photoshop. I had to edit all their little outfits like the helmets, shields, and swords. For the bulldog, he got Daenerys Targaryen's hair. The Photoshop part of it was easy. When I started to transfer my images into AfterEffects that is when my issues began. I had layered things wrong and not merged anything. My animations would have sliced through them that I could not fix. I restarted the project 9 times over, and I did not get a good set of work done until the 3rd working day because nothing was working. As soon as I fixed my problems, however, the rest of the project was easy and fun!
